Legalization of LEDs on Substituted Halogen

Federal Automotive Transportation of Germany approved the use of the OSRAM Night Breaker LED H7 LED lamp on replacement of regular halogen in headlight headlights. OSRAM has become the world’s first manufacturer who received such a legislative permit.

The Night Breaker LED H7 lamp has become the first LED source of near light, which successfully painted the extensive testing program TÜV SÜD is an independent German inspection and certification organization — and received official approval for use on common roads in Germany. Now Night Breaker LED can be legally installed in the headlights of the near light on many vehicles, including the BMW 2 series, Audi A3 and A4 and Ford Mondeo. The list of machine models is gradually expanding, since the certification process continues .Night Breaker LED H7 generates a light stream, the intensity of which is three times higher than the minimum regulatory requirements of the legislation. The spectral composition of the lamp radiation is close to daylight, which allows the driver to see much further and more clearly in the dark. Lamps are resistant to vibrations and differ up to five times longer than a long service life compared to standard halogen. Thanks to OSRAM solutions, any car owner can get powerful LED light sources instead of halogen in headlights, without resorting to any refinement. Installation of LED lamps of the German brand is carried out on the Plug & Play principle — without interference in the design of the car.
