Why MAZ «chasing» for Kamaz and what happened

If you look carefully, then two main freight automakers of the Customs Union, as it may seem strange, in a lot of development vectors. After all, if you look back in history, the creation of KAMAZ took place not on those lecaals, according to which the Minsk Automobile Plant was created in the post-war time. But today the vectors have come close to.

In the main directions of development of the national economy of the USSR, the 10th five-year apartment was recorded on the creation of automotive production in Naberezhnye Chelny with a capacity of 150 thousand trucks and 250 thousand diesel engines. That is, in initially KAMAZ, it was prescribed to master the motor competencies, which in the Belarusian Maza was not originally. After all, the production of trucks was actually moved to Minsk from Yaroslavl, and motor production remained on the banks of the Volga. The production of electric drives first started on KAMAZ three years ago. Since September 2018, electric structures come to Moscow. During this period, 600 electricians were delivered to the metropolitan metropolis, 400 of them are collected on nefhaze, the subsidiary of KamAZ in Bashkiria. They operate on 16 routes previously serviced by trolley buses. In the coming period 2021-2022 Moscow will receive another 820 electrics. By 2024, their total number exceeds 2.2 thousand (this is a third of the total city transport). By 2030, the entire Park Mosgortrans will be «with zero emissions.» Thus, KAMAZ in the presence of a major customer was able to develop this innovative direction, plus it was beneficial for KamAZ.

Electrics in Moscow, including those supplied by KamAZ, have proven themselves as reliable and modern transport that meets the highest safety requirements.

In 2020, the nefhas released 202 electrobus. In 2021, the production of innovative transport is planned to be increased twice. Since the Moscow market requires even more of these vehicles, the next step was to the organization of the assembly of electricians on the capacities of the capital’s welded (Sokolnic Car Repair Plant).

For the production of electric transport in December 2020, the assembly production of electric rolling stock under the brand of MAZ opened in the town of Zhodino. But the most interesting thing, it turns out that there is not one manufacturer of electric transport in the Republic of Belarus, but two. The second — BKM Holding (so now is officially called «Belkommunmash»). This company concluded a contract for the supply of GP «Minsktrans» of nine electric buses E321 of the new generation. The E321 model is called «Olgend» named Grand Duke Lithuanian, the son of Gedimin.

The body is absolutely new and similar to Mazase in its dimensions (length — 12.500 mm). Energy drive from «Olgere» is not supercapacitors, but lithium batteries that provide a new power supply of the stroke minimally up to 50 km with all operating internal energy consumers. At the same time, «Olgered» is charged with a pantograph of the current receiver from the same ultrabstroy charging stations that are already available in Minsk. As for charging time, a new electric office on lithium batteries is necessary to recharged to a maximum for 25-30 minutes (with a charge remains 20%).

Then, during the working day, he will be able to maintain an acceptable level of charge batteries with short recharges with a duration of 6-8 minutes (or even less if suddenly breaks from the graph) at the final stops of the route. Another important difference between «Olgerda» with lithium batteries — the heating of the salon electric (on the trolleybuses «Vitovt» and «Syabra» installed stoves operating on the diesel population). You can not pass by another BKM Holding Electrobus model. BKM Holding (so now asks to call himself «Belkommunmash») shipped in Batumi (Georgia) a batch of eight electric drives of the newest E490 model. This is an interesting model.

Key parameters — length not more than 9.5 m, the capacity is not more than 66 people, a complete mass of no more than 14.5 tons. These numbers were defined in the technical task that the customer prepared. Otherwise, the flight of design thought was practically no limited. Thanks to this, BKM Holding specialists have created a truly innovative product.

The main one of them is driven by the wheels both the front and rear axles with wide-profile tires. On E490, an electronically hydraulic control system for the control of the rear axis of ETS (Electronic Truck Steering) produced by the Netherlands company VSE has been applied. Such a «full-controlled» scheme provides an electrician with a rather large wheelbase (7150 mm) excellent maneuverability — the rotation radius E490 is only 8.5 m.

BKM Holding won the international tender in the framework of the concessional loan of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). At the same time, this project envisaged the organization turnkey on the electrical movement, that is, those 4 million euros, which were allocated by the EBRD, went not only for the purchase of rolling stock, but also to create all the necessary infrastructure.
